How about for the Holidays, make your community a drop off site for "Toys for Tots". Also get the area radio stations to do a live remote on Saturdays, encouraging shoppers to buy an extra toy and stop buy and drop off toys. One builder even partnered with an RV dealer and their goal was to fil up the RV. They got lots of great press.
My community has a community club house. This spring/summer I want to host a "Yappy Hour" -- invite homeowners and prospects and their 4 legged friends out for some homemade doggy biscuits or make up some inexpensive doggy treat bags with your business card. The Michigan Humane Society also has a very large van that is an adoption caravan that will come to my site for community pet adoptions "Meet your Best Friend at Country Club Village". Good Luck! Maybe corny, but people spend so much money on their pets, why not pamper them in hopes of getting some referrals?
